TRANSFERRING THE AUTHORITY

By tomorrow at exactly 12 noon will be the big day. Well, that would be the time that the transfer of authority will be transferred to the new set of officers of Teacher's Guild, a student council run by the Education students. This event is a big deal because at this time since the elected officers will be exercising their respective power as the council officials. I, as the new president of Teacher's Guild (TG), too, greatly feel endeavored to our management. But to be honest, this is really never in my plans for staying in Xavier University, where I stayed and studied my course program Secondary Education, and I am on my second year level.

I ran as the candidate of presidency under the banner of Alyansang Atenista, an existing political party in the univeristy, won as the TG President last elections and was proclaimed last March 2. Finally by tomorrow, my authority will be effective as well as TG officers.

Wow, this is a new world to enter and a new environment to adapt, a new dimension to learn. This is a great opportunity to deal with the new aspects of life where we could test and manifest the leadership skills that we all have. Perhaps this is a great outlet to apply them.
Well as early as March, days after the proclamation, we already have met and tried to make  bond with each other and shared thought, opinions amidst awkwardness. This is natural for us since we are not used to be gathering as officers, carrying responsibilities for the Education students who are expecting much from us.

But despite the initial odds we faced, we are strongly believing that we could surpass them because we really believe that we could. For now, we are in the stage of getting to know with each other's strengths and weaknesses. And by it, we could do well in a year of getting along with each other as one body. As president, I envisioned the council to be a full blast!

God bless us with this stepping stone.
